It is a great honour for me to take the Chair at HAV Ltd at this pivotal period in the development of the Company. Airlander represents the very best of British science, technology and innovation, bringing a step change in aircraft efficiency and game changing reductions in the future carbon footprint of air travel. As we transition from development into the production, commercialisation and deployment of Airlander, I am excited by the future opportunities before us as we build an international aerospace manufacturing company. The team at Hybrid Air Vehicles are the perfect embodiment of the dedication, resilience, flexibility, commitment, and sheer endeavour required to succeed as we take Airlander into commercial service. Sam Macleod Chair
Sam has 40 years of experience in aerospace, with a strong background in high technology programmes and risk and business management. Coupled with his years as a Naval and Air Force Officer, Sam brings a breadth of knowledge from across the military and commercial landscape. He has served as a Non-Executive Director at Hybrid Air Vehicles for the last 10 years, so brings a deep understanding of the opportunities Airlander represents and the challenges we need to overcome to ensure success. This combination of industry and Hybrid Air Vehicles knowledge perfectly places Sam to lead the Board in our next phase of production programme delivery and business growth.
